Overview - Sunday Feast

For more than thirty years Sunday feasts have been a venerable ISKCON tradition. Yet expectations from visitors today are higher than they were in the Sixties. The Sunday feast initiative team has examined each element of the Sunday feast program and created a comprehensive document to help ISKCON centers make substantial improvements in their Sunday feast.

The document is divided into three parts:

Sunday Feast Guide

The attached document is the result of the work of the Sunday Feast Initiatives Team. Content has come from many sources, especially Jaya Rama dasa, the coordinator of the initiative team.

Support Devotee Care while Going Green.

Here is an affordable opportunity for your temple to go green with biodegradable food service products and support hospice care for devotees with terminal illnesses.

EcoDallas is a devotee owned business that offers manufacturer direct pricing to temples. EcoDallas purchases container quantities from the manufacturers. This allows them to compete in the commercial market while providing their discount to ISKCON temples.

Pamphlets You Can Use

Here at the Detroit center we have developed a set of brochures to assist in distributing various aspects of the uplifting aspects of Vedic knowledge, and for answering common questions about our philosophy.

These are now available in the Media section under Resources (click on Brochures and the Brochures from Sri Nandanandana dasa).

Suggested Primary Actions- Sunday Feast

  1. Put the Sunday Feast guide into the hands of key congregational people and invite them to take part in teams for improving the Sunday Feast.
  2. Use the check list to establish your goals
